Sorted by length of the 0% period, then by fee. We don't get paid for this list. Regular APRs after the intro period depend on your credit, typically from the mid-teens to the high 20s; check each issuer's rates and fees before applying. Approval isn't guaranteed.

How to choose between them

When two cards offer the same 0% period, the transfer fee decides it. The fee is added to your balance on day one:

cost of transferring = balance × fee %

On $6,000, that's $180 at 3% and $300 at 5%. The longer 0% period only helps if you'll actually need the extra months, so start from the monthly payment you can sustain and check the result in the balance transfer calculator.

How we pick these cards

  • No annual fee and a 0% intro APR on balance transfers.
  • Ranked by the length of the 0% period, then by the transfer fee.
  • Terms come from each issuer's own product page and are re-checked regularly. The date above shows the last check.
  • No issuer pays to be on this list, and we don't earn a commission from these links.

Before you apply

  • Most issuers don't allow transfers between their own cards.
  • The amount you can transfer is limited by the new card's credit limit.
  • Keep paying your old card until the transfer shows as complete.
  • Any balance left when the intro period ends starts accruing interest at the regular APR.

Frequently asked questions

Which card has the longest 0% balance transfer offer right now?

As of September 30, 2026, the longest 0% balance transfer periods we track come from the Citi Diamond Preferred Card, BankAmericard credit card, Wells Fargo Reflect Card, U.S. Bank Shield Visa Card.

Is a 3% or 5% transfer fee a big difference?

On a $6,000 balance, a 3% fee is $180 and a 5% fee is $300. If two cards offer the same 0% period, the lower fee saves you the difference.

How long do I have to make the transfer?

It depends on the card, often 60 days to 4 months from account opening. Transfers made later may not get the intro rate.
